I am thrilled to be a member of this exciting community. I was re-born on 31 August 2006 as a (trans-)woman. This was a sublime moment in my life and a supreme moment of self-realisation. It takes a lot of courage to really look at oneself, recognise one's true nature and then challenge society's norms and expectations by re-inventing oneself and transcending gender stereotypes and 'rules'.

I have recently started a much-needed support and discussion group in London (England) for all members of the ‘trans’ community, whatever their gender identity (or identities) and whatever stage in their ‘transition’ they have reached (if at all). I have been thrilled and moved by the response so far and excited by the diversity and numbers of people who have the meetings so far. It is wonderful to meet with like-minded people and share experiences, ideas, hopes and aspirations. It is my intention to also engage in some positive activism to advance understanding and acceptance of trans people in the UK Capital.

I look forward to sharing ideas, experiences, observations and aspirations with the exciting people here in the zaadz community.
